It Began with a Problem ...
Like so many families, we were always on the go—and we needed snacks that could keep up. But, every option was highly processed, full of sugar, and packed with ingredients we didn’t recognize.
So, we solved the problem ourselves. Using real food—oats, nuts, seeds, fruit—we created simple, natural snacks that we loved AND felt good about.
...Then We Found Our Community
One day, my daughter asked if we could bring our creations to a farmers’ market. I said sure—why not? And in 2019, The Oat Company was born.
From that first market, we heard something BIG: so many people had the same problem we did, and were looking for exactly what we made. We heard over & over —“Finally, a snack without all the sugar!” That’s when we knew our little hobby might be a little business.
From Then to Now
Since 2019, we've made thousands of bars and connected with countless people across the country. We might make more bars, but the core recipes & ingredients haven’t changed. That's because our original vision remains the same:
